Copy the individual video’s link

In the Facebook app

Menu labels and placement can change. Look for the controls on the specific video rather than the surrounding feed.

1. Open the public video or Reel you want to save.
2. Select Share, or open the video’s menu, and choose Copy link when available.
3. Return to VidTote and paste the copied link into the field.
4. Select Find video, or Check audio on the MP3 page. Pasting alone does not start a lookup.

In a browser

Open the video’s individual page. Full watch, reel and videos addresses identify the video more clearly than a feed address. Supported share/v and share/r links can also be checked.

1. Open the individual video on Facebook in your normal browser.
2. Copy the complete address from the address bar or use the video’s Copy link option.
3. Paste only that link into VidTote, without extra message text.

If fb.watch or another short link fails

VidTote follows only a limited number of safe redirects. It stops at login requirements, repeated redirects or an expired short link.

1. Open the video on Facebook using your normal browser.
2. If the video has a public individual page, copy its full Facebook video URL from the address bar.
3. Paste the full URL into VidTote and submit it yourself. If the content still requires login or is private, it is not supported.
