Invalid, missing or short link
Paste only the individual public Facebook video link. Profiles, other sites and signed CDN file addresses are not lookup inputs.
For an expired fb.watch link or redirect loop, open the video on Facebook and copy its full video URL. If no public page is accessible, use another video.
Private, removed or unsupported content
VidTote does not log in, import cookies or bypass privacy or access restrictions. Content visible to your own signed-in account may still be inaccessible to the tool.
A removed video, photo post, live broadcast or video without a supported complete MP4 cannot be saved here. Separate video and audio tracks are not merged.
The save option expired
Video addresses and small-file options are short-lived. Submit the original public link again to get new options, then choose your save action.
Do not reuse a signed file address or save it as a permanent link. VidTote does not silently refresh expired tasks.
Lookup is busy, limited or timed out
A busy service has no free lookup slot; an upstream limit means Facebook is limiting requests. Wait before manually retrying. No precise countdown is promised when the service has not supplied one.
For a timeout or unusable source response, use a stable connection and try later or another video. Repeated rapid requests do not improve availability.
The browser cannot complete the save
The streaming helper may be unavailable, or the video host may block a browser fetch. Open Other ways to save and try browser download, system sharing when offered, or open the video file.
For a file beyond the memory-save limit, use the browser download or open-file path. Do not keep retrying a large in-memory transfer.
A truncated or cancelled transfer is not complete. Check the browser’s downloads for a partial file. After any successful-looking handoff, locate and play the saved file yourself.
MP3 is unavailable
MP3 needs a confirmed separate audio track in a supported format, with a known duration of no more than 10 minutes. Sound inside an MP4 alone is not enough.
Unknown audio, an unsupported audio delivery format or a missing independent track keeps MP3 unavailable. VidTote does not download the video to extract audio; available MP4 options remain usable.
A small file exceeds its limits
Audio input is limited to 20 MiB, MP3 output to 10 MiB and thumbnails to 5 MiB. Conversion is limited to 128 kbps and 10 minutes, with a 120-second overall timeout.
If a limit is reached, choose an available direct MP4 instead. VidTote does not increase limits, switch to video extraction or promise a smaller output by retrying.
Small-file capacity or daily allowance is unavailable
MP3 and thumbnails share a 1 GiB allowance per UTC day. A request reserves its maximum possible output; failed or interrupted transfers keep that reservation. Only a complete success returns the unused portion.
If processing is busy, try later. If the daily allowance is unavailable, keep the direct MP4 option. Service restarts do not reset the budget, and the tool does not claim a reset countdown without live status.
The site rejected the request
Use the tool on the configured VidTote site over HTTPS. Requests from another page, an unsupported format or an unexpected method are rejected.
Reload the page and submit only the link with the normal controls. Do not send a custom proxy URL, headers or credentials.
