Copy the Reel, not the feed
- Open the individual Reel on Facebook.
- Open Share or the Reel’s menu and choose Copy link. Menu wording can vary by app version.
- Paste that link above and select Find video.
- Choose an available MP4, save it, then open the downloaded file to check picture and sound.
Keep the original available shape and quality
Reels are often vertical, but the result uses the dimensions supplied by the source. A short video is not automatically available in HD.
VidTote does not upscale, crop, remove marks or merge a silent video with a separate audio track. If no supported complete MP4 is available, the tool explains the limitation.
When a share link will not open
Supported Reel share links and fb.watch links are expanded only within a limited lookup. An expired link, repeated redirect or login page ends that attempt.
Open the Reel in a normal browser and copy the full Facebook video URL when available. Do not supply an account cookie or try to bypass restricted content.
Check the file before looking in your gallery
The first place to check is your browser’s downloads or the device’s Files app. Gallery and Photos placement depends on your system and the file’s format.
If saving inside the Facebook app’s browser fails, open VidTote in Safari or your usual external browser and paste the link again. Nothing is passed through a login.
Questions
Can VidTote get a Reel from a private account?
No. Being able to watch something while signed in does not make it publicly accessible to this tool.
