Save and open the MP4
- Open VidTote in Chrome or your usual external browser.
- Paste the public video link, find the video and select an available MP4 quality.
- Select Save MP4 and follow the browser’s download prompt.
- Open the browser menu and choose Downloads. Wait for the file to finish.
- Open the file and check picture and sound. You can also use your device’s file manager to locate its actual download folder.
Try another browser path
If the first transfer is blocked, open Other ways to save and try browser download or open the video file. Opening the file does not necessarily save a copy.
System sharing is offered only when a complete file can be prepared and your browser supports it. Tap again when prompted to open the share sheet.
Inside an app’s browser, use Open in browser if available or open VidTote manually in your usual browser and paste the link again.
Gallery placement is a device action
Some galleries find downloaded videos automatically; others need a move, import or compatible file format. Use the actions actually offered by your file manager or gallery.
VidTote does not guarantee identical behavior across Android phones or gallery apps. A download notification does not prove that a gallery has found the file.
Questions
The download stopped. Should I open the partial file?
A partial download may not play correctly. Check the browser’s status, remove an unusable partial file if appropriate and choose a fresh attempt or alternative method.
